You haven’t heard from me in a while but lots of things have happened in meantime. Yet this newsletter is above all about my new album Be Yourself in 11 Easy Lessons. which is now available on every platform! Last Thursday we have celebrated its release with a bombastic concert in Dresden … and the club was on fire! A huge thank you to everyone who was there and to my brilliant band Johnny, Leo, and Fabian.

But you cannot just stream the new album: you can buy it, on CD or as audio files – and support the production of new songs with your purchase. And you know what? With the CD you even do something good for yourself, because it comes in a beautiful cardboard sleeve, labelled and stamped by myself (which makes each sleeve unique) and equipped with a folded flyer in which all of Ian Badcoe’s amazing lyrics are printed. Brilliant, isn’t it? Spotify, Apple Music and the like can’t do that … which is only logical, as they can’t pay artists for their work either 😉 So: artist support = purchase instead of streaming.

And that’s not all: In addition to my CD album, my bandcamp shop now also offers the world’s very first HALLAM LONDON t-shirt. The t-shirt features the stunning drawing by Floris Hansberg for the single cover of Identity, prepared by me for two-colour screen printing.

2023 – so far

But what happened since my last newsletter? A lot, actually. I released several more of the album songs as singles, each with a beautiful cover drawing by Floris Hansberg – see my discography for details. I have revived my settings of Shakespeare’s sonnets in two wonderful concerts at the theatre in Brandenburg/Havel, together with my new band. And I wrote the music for a performance/play at that very theatre and this time performed in it myself: as Pan, the Greek god of wilderness: PANIK – Humans in nature – see that page for some wonderful photos.
